I bought the DS Max story hook, line and sinker when I was 20. At the time I was delivering pizzas, so a job in sales seemed like a step in the right direction. I worked on the AT&T compain for about 6 months, credit cards, etc...
I moved across the country to help start an office and ultimately failed like many do. I lost money and my dog in the ordeal and was very bummed when finished after a year of hard labor. Below are the Pros and Cons for anyone who wishes to work for this organization:
Pros:
The sales tactics work. When you actually have a product that people want, it makes moving it rediculously easy. No job that I have worked for since DS Max has given any guidance on how to create the impulse factors and close a deal. Whether you wind up working in sales or something else the skills can be invaluble when negotiating.
Cons:
Most of the stuff that you are selling is Junk. You are NOT an employee. You are technically an independent contractor although you are treated like an employee. There is Zero guidance on how to actually run a business, just how to sell. You WILL be lied to. Accept everyting said with a grain of salt.

At&t Uverse door to door campaign almost 9 years ago, CYDCOR office in Forth Worth Tx. Amazing and crazy experience LOL. My first 3 weeks were hell, lots of rejection. But on week 4 I highrolled the office with 11 sales and promoted to 'leadership'. I hit 3rd place on the top 10 list in the entire southwest region 3 times. After 3 1/2 months of stress, 12 interviews I really didn't even want anything to do with, making only $200-400 a week to try to live off of, and having no life cuz I was gone 70mhrs a week I FINALLY WALKED INTO MY MANAGERS OFFICE AND HAD TO RESIGN. I'll always love everyone I got to meet there at Cydcor, but you can't stay there LOL. it's basically SALES BOOTCAMP. learn confidence, street smarts, how to sell, but don't stay there. Move on to better things. I now sell directv and dish network door to door in the countryside where it's very easy to sell my customers, unlike in the city where ppl slam doors in your face and yell at you. Now I only work about 30 hrs a week, take a whole week off every other month, a whole month of at least once a year. I make about 70k yr. I drive a Toyota Camry Extra luxury edition Hybrid to work and a Lexus GS 450Hybrid for pleasure. Last year I took a month vacation to Hawaii. Swap stories with me 817-938-4217 Everybody that worked for DS Max and affiliates are family to me, we all know what we went through together
